In her delicate watercolors, Angie explores the effect that light and atmosphere can bring to a scene, whether the subject is a landscape, interior, or still life.  A resident of Lyme, she finds much of her inspiration for painting there.

Angie received her BA in Art  from Connecticut College in New London.  A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she is also an award-winning member of the Connecticut Watercolor Society and the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, DC, and an Elected Artist Member of the Lyme Art Association.   Her miniature watercolors were featured in an article in the Winter 2009 issue of Watercolor.

In 2006, Angie was asked to recreate a coat of arms on the fireplace in the historic dining room of the Florence Griswold Museum.  Using old photographs and a written description, she pieced together the elements of a fanciful coat of arms originally designed and painted by Willard Metcalf.  She has received hundreds of commissions for pen and ink renderings and watercolors, and illustrated two children’s books by Mary Ellen Caruso, “Helping Billy Bluebird”  and “Helping Hilda Horseshoe Crab”.  Note cards of her  images are available at stores in the Old Lyme area, online, or by contacting the artist.
